One tip I can varify is using a html version of your sitemap linked from your homepage, it will help your rankings within Yahoo.
In fact i forgot about this little tip until last week on one of my sites and by incorporating the html sitemap I went from 10/20 page one ranking for my keywords to 16/20 in 48 hours. very happy with the result.
    Great tip w3bmast3r,

    Will keep that in mind.

Be interested to know if you got any more love from Bing after doing that?

    Cheers

    Hi all,

I attended a webinar yesterday where the speaker was talking about yahoo payed directory and he said that he reccommends that everyone use this service if you can afford it and that he knows for a fact that if you don't pay the renewal fee that they don't have the resources to remove your listing.

Interesting, he said and quote "I pay for my first year only for over 10 sites for the first year and all of my listings are still active years on"

Good advice. I haven't ever tried NOT to pay the renewal fee (too honest!). But it does seem to help rankings quite a bit. I would think it's viewed as a sign of credibility with Google. e.g. If you have paid $299 technically you are not the "Joe Average" spammer.

    Cheers
