Yahoo Search Results
Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to the SEO game, about 3 months in and I'm using seobook's rank checker. I've got multiple page one rankings on Yahoo that it is showing, but when I go to Yahoo I don't see ANY of my 15 or so sites ranked where they the tool says they are. In fact, I go back several pages and don't see my sites at all, even though a month or so ago I checked their progress in yahoo and they were all present, but now that I've made page ones my sites, and again I've check the top 7 or 8 and all my sites don't show up on Yahoo anymore, but they are still present on Google (most on page 2 of Google and those rankings given by the rank checker are where they say they are)
OK, after all that, the question that comes to mind does Yahoo banned my entire hosting account? As I just came to learn I shouldn't host all my sites under one hosting account... now I'm worried Yahoo has banned the account or something to that effect. Understand these are multiple yahoo page rankings of 3 and several page ranks of #1 that are not showing up on Yahoo at all now.
I'm shooting in the dark here, just really trying to find an explanation.
Any insight would be appreciated.

So your rankings are showing in SEOBook's ranking tool, but you can't find your site in the Yahoo search engine, correct?
Hmm.. I'm not really sure why that would be, but there might be a few reasons:
1. The ranking tool is giving you the wrong info. It happens with all ranking tools, even the one's I use so might be the case. Try checking your rankings again with Market Samurai or another different ranking tool if you can to see if the results are the same or not?
2. If you lost all your rankings just recently, it might just be that the Yahoo search engine is reassessing your position. Yahoo gave you #1 rankings for a short while before considering that you might not really belong there. This especially happens for news sites that have just ranked. I don't think they would ban you just because all of your sites come from the same hosting account. There are tons of other sites under the same IP address as well.

Sometime the ranking you get on the tools are a bit older than the actual ranking but least you get an idea and can then confirm by verifying directly.
