    Is feedage.com no more??

I just submitted a feed and I noticed that feedage.com failed for the first time since I have been using the software.

I looked at the log at it failed at the login stage.

So I went over to feedage.com to see if the account WTG used had been banned / removed.

when I got the login page I see a login form with a captcha ...

    Is this normal?
Am I just seeing this because of over use of the software?
OR is feedage.com gone for good (there is no captcha solving in WTG)?

    Thanks guys

I believe the issue is a captcha yes. Looking into this, yes but it appears they have done that.

Will see what we can do.

    Cheers

Feedage.com is alive and well.... Just too much spam

Yes, we added captcha to login and account creation to cut down on spam (junk feeds). While this might interfere with people automating submits, we provide a bulk load tool that should be used.

As long as users provide good quality feeds, I will do my best to make Feedage easy to use and valuable to both the SEO community and people looking for good quality content. Unfortunately there are people that submit too many duplicates and empty feeds which helps no one.

    Thanks,
    Mark Savoca

    Thanks for the reply Mark,

I would think that spam would be a big issue and we all have to do what we can do to reduce it. I can feel your pain to a degree as we have daily spammers on this forum continually trying to put up spam. Just imagine if all these people focused on good quality content/posts, it would truly be a win/win for all.

    Cheers

Hello Tim...so are we to leave feedage.com disabled for now?

Also has anyone else been having issues with rss-feed.info? The site has been down for awhile...and I haven't even been able to make any profiles yet to that site.

    Thanks,

    Jake

I tried (manually) to register a feedage.com account - I completed the captcha OK and was told that a confirmation email would be sent - but I never received that confirmation email.
Reminders (requests for resend of the confirmation email) were unavailing too.

Tried again with different user names and email addresses, but always the same problem.

Is feedage closed to new memberships?

Mark from Feedage.com replied above mentioning feedage.com is working well, just that is requires a captcha. I suggest you check your spam folder and if it has not arrived (the email) to contact mark at feedage to see if there is an issue.

    Cheers

aside from the captha issue ive also noticed feedage is giving different ratings of your acct.if it drops below 50% you cant submit more feeds.

fyi, submitting feeds that are mainly mashes of backlinks lower your rating pretty quick

    oh well
guess ill just open up another acct every now and then or perhaps try submitting various 'high quality' rss feeds to see if i can balance it out w/o too much headache
