Is there any SEO value posting on Twitter?

Just want to hear from Tim whats his take on Twitter/ SEO value. Many Internet Marketers have been quite disappointed with Twitter lately. I have not see many Webinars or Launches on twitter/ Social media lately.

Well, I think Twitter has little SEO value, but from a monetization issue it has some possibilities.

I think there were so many products released for twitter that many people on twitter received so much spam (offers) that it reduced the value.

From a "keeping in contact" with your users, it can be a good tool. I don't believe its great as a way to generate new business.

Here is a blog post with my take on how not to use twitter. Would be interested in your thoughts on that.

When I see Internet Marketers saying they are unhappy with it, I suspect they are basing it purely on the number of sales they are making, and I don't think it should be viewed in that context.

Twitter can still drives traffic to my site, though the volume is not as much compare to other strategies that I use but its okay though. As what you have noticed there are lots of twitter tools that can help us when it comes to SEO and I think that's good because it makes our work a lot easier.

Twitter posting is great beneficial. Really social networking sites are such great way of marketing. We can used it easily. Marketing on sites like Twitter is really simple and more effective way of promote websites.

Twitter is a great way promote your website, although I do have to agree with Tim that the service has been abused with spam. I used to get alot of traffic coming to my site from twitter and it has dwindled a bit.
