It's been 14 days since the Google bot visited my website

When I first set up my website Google picked it up almost immediately. So I then spent several days doing what the 12 days To Page One on Google e-course suggests. I have been anticipating the impact of all this but Google has not looked at my site for 14 days now and obviously the site is very different from what Google originally saw. Is such a delay normal?
Should I request Google to spider it? I thought I read somehwere this was not a good idea?
    Regards
    Michael

Have you been adding new content to it daily? For a new site to stay loved by Google you should be posting new content everyday to it for at least a month. Then when your position in Google has stabilized then you can post less often depending on the competition for your keyword some keywords take more posting to keep them in the serps and some keywords take less. Just stay at it Google will come back to you.

I'd suggest some more content and more linking from web 2.0 sites. Check obvious things like ensuring your robots.txt file is not excluding all search engines (if you made a change to it after Google visited). You could create a sitemap and submit it via Google webmaster tools.

This thread discusses how to do it.

Building sitemaps and robots.txt the easy way?

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

I have few site setup on almost the same day and after 3-4 day it get index by G and ranking on second page. The next day (today) it come back to non index.

I use Traffic Bug to startup the indexing process, still waiting for the index.

It's completely normal for pages to disappear from the index, particularly when starting out...

You will almost certainly find your sites back in the index in a few days. I documented this in the mind movies set of videos where we got to page 1 in 18 hours or so and the main domain completely disappeared for at least 24 hours (cannot remember the exact time) and then came back in a stronger position.

You can see the videos below if interested.

Bottom line: promote as normal, assume nothing is wrong.
