The best way to use the support forum is before starting a new discussion, search the FAQ section of the item you purchase. Then use the search engine if the FAQ was no help to you.

You can get help from forums by two ways, first if forum is related to your site than you can get visitors, 2nd you can get good do follow backlink from forum, and good thing about forum is that if you post 10 post on forum its mean that you will get 10 links.

According to me it is really important to gain moderator trust before giving link in post. To gain moderator trust you need to do nice, informative post. It will be better if you post links after 15-20 posts.

More important thing thing, do not do spamming. Post unique and useful content.
