I am using the web traffic genius for back links on my sites. When I first installed them on my site I was getting back links but now I don't have any back links pointing to my sites although the software is still posting and I get emails to say my rss feeds have been suggested to the rss feeds does this mean that I have been blacklisted? How can I tell if the rss feeds have been included in the rss directories any help would be appreciated

    Backlinks v On page SEO

    Hi..

On-page factors (meta tags) and back links both are important for good rank. According to me back links are more effective. I read somewhere that in the ranking factors contribution of on page factors are 15%, rest of these are effected by back links.

    Cool

It's a never ending struggle with SEO v Backlinks. Here's my take on it.

I have a site that had a PR3 and some good #1 -#2 Google/Yahoo/Bing SEs spots. I had an offer to sell it for a pretty good price. So far, so good. It turned out that I could not sell it because it was one of these 'FREE' sights you get when you sign on to a hosting service. They would not let it go. So, in a fit I tore the site down; not very smart.

Six months ago I found that I could take possession of the domain name and then it would be OK to sell it. However, (I hate Howevers) I had to rebuild the site from scratch. The DB for the previous site was gone.

Now, as for SEO v Backlinks. I rebuilt the site starting last May, 2011. My PR was gone and my SE keyword spots were gone. I changed my method of posting and brought every post on the site up to SEO speed and now I have my PR3 back and the right Keywords are getting good billing in the SEs. (Each article is KW targeted.)

Backlink? I have a few but they are from junk comment sites; no big help there.

So again, I think the SEs have caught on the how sites, most site anyhow, are getting backlinks and BLs are losing their favor with the SEs.

    Here's what I use for SEO;

    • Domain name: KW targeted

    • Title: KW targeted; KW 1st word

    • Opening article sub-heading: KW 1st word and <H2>

    • KWs in article: Bold or Underlined

    • KW density: 2% to 4%

    • An <h3> KW near bottom of article

    • KW in last 50 to 100 words in article.

    • External link to good site

There are a few more things I do but that's pretty much the nuts and bolts of how I post. Is this etched in stone? Nope. But, it seems to work for me.

Have I got one of the SEO secrets? Yep. Am I going to tell? Nope.

One last thing. I'm switching my posting methods on my other sites (blogs) to the above method.

    Good blogging to all.

A PS: I should put a KW here so you can see what I'm doing.
KW: winning forex trades Do a Google/Yahoo/Bing and you will find my site with those KWs in the domain right at the top.
    RT...
