    comments optimization

Picked this tidbit up recently though now i cant remember where so i cant follow up on if its true and how to fix it.

"If you have paged comments implemented on your blog (i.e. if your comments are spread over multiple pages) this can be seen as duplicate content by the search engines and your site could potentially be penalized and moved down the rankings. "

I currently have the super seo comments plugin going on my blog and made sure to have robots meta and platinum seo set to index and follow comment pages though not the rss feeds.

Any tips on making this work ideally?

First a general warning on stuff like this that you read, check the source, and more importantly check the credentials of the person saying it.

Are they an experienced SEO expert, or was it just a forum post someone posted from another source? Don't believe everything you read

I haven't tested this, but I would doubt that would be an issue (duplicate content). The reason is (as far as I know) some of those pagination tools use javascript for creating the pagination, and google and other search engines ignore all javascript.

But as I say I haven't test it. In theory it is possible, but even if it was an issue, the use of the all in one seo plugin with canonical url's enabled or the canonical plugin would fix this, making it a clear indication to google of exactly where the "original" page of content was.

I have not used the super seo comments plugin so will leave others to advise about it. I'd set all your content to index and follow, yes.

Try the above plugins/options if you are worried about it.

    Regards

    Tim
