Google does not pickup a change in the allin one SEO Settings ?

    He Guys,

I have changed the home description of the allin one SEO plugin after my site was indexed.
Unfortunately it has been more than 2 months now and the description in google is still the same
My site is crawled and updated frequently.
    What can I do ?

    Giovanni

Are you 100% sure the description is updated? 2 months is a long time I would have expected it to be updated by now.

Check the html source of the page (right click the page and click View Source in your browser). Can you confirm the description is showing there? You have not accidentally got 2 descriptions in there somehow have you?

The other thing you might want to do is join Google Webmaster tools (free) that might give you some tips on why it's not showing up.

    Regards

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

You Are Right. In the source code the description has not changed.

So the problem is that the change in my allinone description did not change the source!

Solution? Change the source code by hand?.........

    Thanks

Sorry I missed replying to this.

Yes the best step forward now is to edit the pages and manually add the meta description tag. Once you do that Google should find it on the next visit then in due course update in it's indexes.

    Regards

    Tim
