I had been working 36 out the last 48hrs. Just got feed up with this thing. I set up CO info but when It start back linking all I get is Error all the way down the list????

I had no trouble setting up SocialBot, crawling my sites etc.

The first submissions were fine, just a few 404s.

However suddenly I am getting Now I keep getting loads of aborted and canceled.

Any ideas or suggestions? Very frustrating!

Hi there,

Sorry you are having problems. Did you read this entire thread though about the program?

This line might be key from a previous post.

When you dealing with hundreds of websites, things will changes sites will go down, login procedures will change, it's never going to be 100% success. If you are expecting that, well it's more than a little unrealistic as no program is going to do that for you.

I think you are forgetting this software package for under $30 bucks gives you HUNDREDS of backlinks each time you post. I suggest that you look at it in terms of that rather than saying a number of sites that are not working.

In an ideal world all links would work all the time, but the reality is 404 errors mean the websites themselves have changed their login procedure/page or crashed, etc. Not the fault of SocialBot and will be fixed up in the next release of the software.

Remember you get lifetime updates. I really suggest you focus on the links that ARE working as the other pages/sites will get corrected in a new version and for now you are still getting a nice number of stready links.

I am not trying to download play this by the way, this is my view with software coming from personal experience you are never going to get 100% success, there are just so many factors involved including internet connections, etc.

The Incansoft people do a great job with their software in my opinion.

I understand the 404 type errors and it is great that there will be some help in the next version.

What was bothering me was the number of timed out and abandoned errors that I had for about 3 days.

It seems that as quickly as the problem appeared it has (hopefully!) gone again.

Would have liked to have understood why in case there was anything I could do to avoid it / get round it but I guess we will never know.

As a "used to be programmer and latterly business / systems analyst" I have built some very big systems that were used by hundreds of companies and I know how difficult it can be to keep everyone happy.

It is interesting but our outsourcers also find this from time to time. Some 404 errors that right themselves in the next "run".

Sounds like you understand exactly what the issue is with software! Hard to please everyone, and in this case hard to keep it continually updated and working 100% of the time.
