I bought Keyword Elite 1 and wasted my money. A lot of work to extract good keywords. Better off using Googles Keyword tool for free. It stopped working with Google changes and the reply from KE was that they no longer supported it. At least the support is good with Market Samurai. Perhaps not as all encompassing as it was but still the better of the two tools in my opinion

Tell me about it - I paid that guy money and never heard from him again other than spam emails. Functionality wise you are totally right - there are plenty of free tools out there with the same, even better, features. Totally overhyped BUT my MS experience has not been much better actually - the tool kept crashing, and crashing, and crashing in trial so I got sick of it and switched to another rank tracker tool

I have to say I used keyword elite before and after visiting and joining this forum I decided to purchase market samurai. I just have to say thanks to you all because this is by far the best tool I have used in a long time!

After using WordTracker for many years in the past, we now use Market Samurai as it is a fantastic keyword tool (plus does a heap of other cool stuff).

I made a few simple videos a while back showing how it works.

You can see the videos here.

I've been using the tool for quite some time and find it very useful. It does get all it's KWs from Google but you will at least know what each
    can do to help you.

Since last big Google change the problem I find is that when I change to EXACT match the list of possible keywords drops to about 6. Any suggestions as to the best setting to use for MS these days?

    Useful Tool has problems

I have Market Samurai and it is very useful. However there are functional problems very periodically. Takes long to download and freezes up some.

Considering the mercurial nature of the data sources they have to work with, the MS team get my highest marks for keeping the product alive. A lot of the other tools simply gave up when the massive changes occurred on all sides. Today's update has correct Rank Trackers slowness and is very welcome.
@avondale - looking a phrase in broad match gathers all the phrases that contain those words anywhere. Exact match is just that - in the exact same order as the query. Of course the results that match the query, with the filters you have set, are going to decrease hugely.
