    301 Redirect Question

I have a site currently being hosted at Godaddy and is not using wordpress. I am moving it to Hostgator on a wordpress blog.

I have the new site built but before I change my nameservers from godaddy to hostgator I need to get my redirects done. Is it better to redirect my old url's to my new url's using the wordpress 301 redirect plugin or should I use the 301 redirect option available in cpanel at hostgator?

I have a few competitive keywords on page one of google and I don't want to lose them after the change.

If anyone has any experience with either one of these 2 options I would appreciate any thoughts.

    Thank you

There are lots of ways to set up a redirect. What's changing exactly?
Just the hosting and the site / page URL's /Categories etc staying the same..
Of changing the domain name and hosting

As an aside I'm interested in why you are moving to wordpress?

    Cheers
Also how big is the site?

This is not an issue, both redirect will work in a same way, both hosting sites are at top at this time, so if you redirect from cpanel it willl be more easy to implement.
