Improved rankings on Google.co.uk or other country specific google sites

Hi all

I have used rankbuilder quite a bit and it works great for improving rankings on google.com via utilising .com web 2.0 sites, what I am strugling with is if you have .co.uk sites or for that matter any country specific site how you can eefectively boost your .co.uk ranks as the usual round of web 2.0 sites do not seem to make that much difference.

Has anyone got any thoughts, or does anyone know of any good web2.0 sites that are country specific as google seem to be looking much more at in country linkage than ever before for country specific sites?

As .co.uk is a local google search engine, you want to do some local seo marketing to help yourself rank.
