    adwords question

I am running some adwords ads, can I use my redirected domain name for the display url? I am getting a reject notice, but it might be for something else like forgetting to put .com at the end). Why would they have a problem as long as its not an iframe?
The redirected domain name is much more descriptive and I got it after I built the site, I would like to use that rather than the funky bad name I have the site on?

I moved this Threat from General chat to Google Adwords which is a more appropriate place for a discussion on Google Adwords.

The domain name you use in the display URL has to match the domain the visitor ends up with when they click, but the page can be set to virtually anything, and is a good opportunity to add something to help you get the click.

e.g. If the visitor ends up at mydomain.com you could set the display url to mydomain.com/best-value but you could not set it to anotherdomain.com (or any page on that domain).

Generally I think a display url counts for about 5-10% of the overall importance on an ad, with the headline and the offer (description) giving you the biggest bang for your buck. Of course this will vary from niche to niche.

You could consider putting a landing page on your descriptive domain and then of course you could use it as a display url.

    Cheers

    Tim
