Smile Page One - Now what?

    Hi all,

I have been following Tim & Anthony for some time now, and read and do everything they have to say. While still studying the methods, I targeted the following key words "twitter profits" - and wonder by wonder I landed on page one. In fact - for a little while I was position 1, on page one. These keywords have 19+ million competitors! So, I am pretty excited. The question now is, how do I benefit from this?

Where to from here, any help will be apreciated.

There is a good clickbank product you can promote on that site. It's made by a guy john alanis (better known for his dating advice site), but its called automated profits machine, and the product itself is all about how to profit on twitter using some automated tools.

I think that CB product would tie in very well with that keyword

    Hi Mark,

Firstly well done on following through and implementing our suggested strategies and what a great result! Page one position 1 in Google.

That's a great problem to have

So now you are thinking about monetization right?

Generally, Tim and I would suggest your monetization plan is worked out before you start on the site.

It just helps in the planning and direction of how you build the site etc but it certainly can still be done afterwards.

I have a few tips for you.

Find out how other related keywords are ranking as you may have others in great positions as well.

You can use the "Rank Checker" in Market Samurai to easily do that.

I would be researching the niche more and seeing what people are buying and selling.

For eg. See what's in the ClickBank marketplace now for sale and what's for sale in AdWords.

    GET OPTINS

Ensure you are getting optins by offering a free report or newsletter.

It's not uncommon for a visitor to need up to 7 contacts from a seller BEFORE they buy online.

Many people buy after that even.

So get a good set of autoresponder messages in place.

I think that CB product would tie in very well with that keyword
I agree with khenninger that clickbank affiliate product is a good idea as a test.

Sell the product to your visitors by way of providing good information or a review about the product.

Make sure you have used the product!

If the product sells, then consider getting a product made yourself that is a variation (not a copy) or even better than the affiliate product.

Create your own USP (unique selling proposition).

Consider AdSense. Check your traffic and consider running an AdSense test.

Look at CPA offers as an option.

Consider designing a product - requires careful research first to see what problems people have in your niche. Then design something that will help them solve it.

Remember to consider upsells, downsells and of course back end offers.

Let us know how you go.

    Cheers

Completely relevant post Anthony made here about opt-ins. Anthony can tell you a story of someone who was on his email list for at least a year (or was it longer Anthony?) before they bought anything!

That's the power of an email list and auto responders sending out communication for you on autopilot. That person was not ready to buy when they signed up, but because the email address was captured they had the information at hand and bought through one of Anthonys links when they were finally ready.

Summary: Get an email address from your visitors.

    Tim's right...

I am a bit of a nutter and love checking stats and tweaking things

Yes, in a niche I started way back (and still am in), I had someone purchase their first product from me 417 days after signing up.

I guess you could say "Gee Anthony, you need better copywriting skills!"

Seriously though, you will find people who join lists buy for many reasons and all have their unique circumstances and are not always ready to buy the minute they join. Sure some do, many don't.

It's good to try and cater for these variations in buying.

Jumped in from another thread :)

Hi guys, nice thread, should have bothered to do a search before asking

So, generally, how many contacts do you have with the subscriber before you start promoting stuff? Do you start right away in the first mail or do you first establish credibility?

and, how often do you send followups?

    Many questions...

    /Jonas

    Hi Jonas,

So, generally, how many contacts do you have with the subscriber before you start promoting stuff? Do you start right away in the first mail or do you first establish credibility
Good question and it will depend somewhat on the niche and what brings the visitor to your website to sign up plus your current online credibility.

There's always some visitors who are ready to buy immediately so it's always worth mentioning your product right away, without being too pushy.

Many others are not ready to buy immediately and will want to get to know you are genuine. Also, some people may not know yet "why" they need your product or service either, this is part of what your auroresponders and sales page need to do.

So in short, it's ok usually to offer your product immediately but on the back of genuine solid free content.

If you are offering multiple affiliate products, I think the credibility issue will be even more important to sort out.

We see people email their list with offers almost 100% of the time. Eventually people will see through this.

There has to be a balance and our own personal goal is to always provide valuable information that exceeds the expectations of our both our customers and non customers.

    Valued Avice Appreciated

Many thanks, & thank you for all the valued advice.

I landed on page one, thankx to "the marketing asassins". And through the follow up posts, I
    have gained valuable information.

I recon at the back end, you need to give a "relevant" & "valued" product or service, this seems to me to be the key. Guys, thanks again for the advice, I have now added the CB products and will track the results, and post the results - so we all can "value" from this.

    Thanks again,

Yes, I agree...back end sales after the initial optin or purchase should be an integral part of any business.

The simple truth is many people who are involved in a niche, will buy more than one thing and will all have their own unique buying agenda..

I think of how much guitar related things I have purchased and continue to purchase.

Like others, if I have a good experience with a certain seller, I will buy again and again from them.

    Cheers
