TBH I wouldnt bother building massive traffic to a site that is not yourown, that is to say you do not own the domain.

So my first piece of advice would be to get your own domain.

I would then say do some article marketing, if you are just getting started then thats a very good place to start.

Of course getting rank in google for your target keywords will result in traffic to your site, well if your selected keywords are good ones anyway.

    Hi there,
Sorry if this is harsh but in this niche I wouldn't bother trying to build traffic, I'd go back to scratch and build a different site in a different niche. You could spend years in this area and waste all your time and effort and get nowhere. If you're new to this you need to start in a niche where the competition is low.

I did a quick market samurai keyword research for your site and any keywords that it appears you are targeting.
Make money online has 14 million in page competition and nearly 6 million title competition
How to create a website has 1.7 million in page competition
The perfect site guide has only 5 searches a day (getting to position no. 1 in google for this keyword will get you 2 hits per day)
blog vs website would get you 13 hits a day in position no. 1 if you can get past the 1.3 million other pages that use this keyphrase.

I'm sure the 12 days to page 1 course which is free shows you how to do keyword research - if not sign up for the market samurai free version and watch their videos. Again sorry if this is really harsh but there's no point wasting a lot of effort to get nowhere.
    hope this helps, Kerry

    Thanks for the advice

But i want to say that its not about the thinking of there are too many pages on my topic. Before i choose this topic, I made a quick search on how many pages are there on this topic? i found there are 402 million webpages. But then also i choose this topic, why? Because I love this topic and i have enough knowledge on this topic than any other topic. I have done research on the webpages of the top webmasters and bloggers, and reviewed what are they lacking the most. And i tried to remove that in my blog. Most sites do the same thing. The truth is there are billions of sites on internet with low quality. Most people don’t want to invest the time into building a long-term, quality website so they throw up something quick and abandon it shortly after. In my blog i tried to combine knowledge with creativity. I have made the reading more intersting by adding videos.
the 2nd reason why i choose blog is because its easy to use. And getting into adsense is perhaps more easier than to have a website.

So, i want to say that, what ever topic you choose, you will find millions of websites on that topic. the thing is what is in you website/blog that is different from others. havent you heard the phrase "People laugh at me because i am different, but i laugh at you because you all are the same". n matter what ever topic you choose the competition is going to be a pain in the ass. The main thing is that you enjoy what you are doing.

Hope you understand what i am trying to say. But please forgive me if I was harsh.

    Regards

It's very hard work to get traffic to a very high competition keyword

    Hi again,
that's a nice sentiment and you're right, there are some sites out there with content that we think we could easily improve on, but unfortunately they rank highly so they are the ones we read - Google hasn't got that bit quite right yet.

The thing is, it's all very well having a topic you are passionate about but if you don't get to page 1 then unfortunately nobody is going to read it... the averages say if you are in position #1 on page 1 you get 42.1% of all hits, position #2 you get 11.9%, #3 = 8.5%, #4 = 6.1%, #5 = 4.9% so by page 2 you're getting nothing. And if nobody reads it then all your work in creating content is for nothing.

"If I flip the side on parental advising or family counseling, there are only 2 million web pages. While it may look still a big number to you, but getting among top rankers is easy here."
This is advice you are giving on your site (I completely disagree with it by the way) and yet you are on here asking advice on how to drive traffic? Have you ever got to be on page 1 of Google for a high competition keyword? In what way is it easy to get among top rankers for a keyword with 2 million pages?

Are you actually making money online from a high competition site? If so then give some examples of it and tell your story in more detail.
And you also say on the about page "My very first website was hosted on a free web host (never again!)" and now you're on blogger...

I just think you'll be disappointed if you do all this work to create content and then don't get it read. You could still put a lot of this content into a site that has lower keyword competition - try to find a sub niche within this area (though there is one site on page 1 position 3 of google for "moneymakers" that (I can't work out how it got there) only has 92 links to the page and none of the description, title etc. on page factors (domain age of 7 though)

Either way go back and start Tim & Anthony's course - it'll take you through the detail you need.
    cheers, Kerry

    hi! there
You are asking me about the 1st site i hosted on a free hosting. Well it was on Your Free Hosting, and that was my 1st website, about 8 months ago. It was about my picture album and was basically a flash site. But the hosting was limited, so i ended up that account and made a site on Wallpapers, which is HD Wallpapers | Free HD Wallpaper | Download HD Wallpapers, and hosted on a paid hosting site about a 3 months ago, but was unable to introduce much traffic, and so didnt got adsenses approval too. i am still now working on that wallpaper site and hope to get an adsense approval the next time.
In all these process i read many books and visited many sites which deals with creating a website, and got all the knowledge. Then one of my freind who was writing a blog got adsense approval. i saw his blog and that was truely messed up blog. I thought if he could get into adsense why cant i. So i started writing my blog few days ago, and since i was having much knowledge about making a website, i decided to write on it, rather then to write on any personal topic. And more over i choosed this topic because, it is one of the most searched topics, so getting is a visitor is comparitively more easy and also since i am an computer engineering student, i like stuffs like this. Second thing i have added infolinks in-text ad to my blog and it is working fine, I am about to reach my 1st payout.
And, dont go on everything what i wrote in about me, I am just little greater then a newbie. the thing i wrote, that i am making money with my website is just to increase traffic and attract visitors. You see new visitors are more influenced by the website/blog of an experienced person rather then a blog of a newbie.
You stated about a moneymakers website which is ranked 3rd. Now you can compare my blog and this site, and say which one is better. And google will always Try to inprove its searches by including a good result. So with this hope, i started this blog.

    now did you got me?

    cheers.

    Hi Divya,

Actually one of the 1st sites i started on was a squidoo lens and that's well before i even knew what a blog was ^^.

In my opinion it's all about the learning process and testing the waters :-). Sneddo and Kerry are right, regarding having your own property and the competition, since although actually getting listed on the 1st page for a term like make money online has been done it's a VERY competitive niche.

Tip: Target less competitive longer tail keywords e.g., make money online for teenagers.

DeFacto Traffic: Guest blogging, where you research topics and write posts on more established blogs may prove useful. This will not only help you get backlinks to your pages and that added backlink juice but also help you gain some good karma in the blogosphere.

    Cheers
    Alex

    hello! s3onaut77
I truly agree with you, but dont you think, that choosing a less competitive keyword will lessen the chances of visits too. Because the keyword you mentioned "make money online for teenagers", has a very less chances of being typed in the search box. and if there is less chances of searches, it same as not being listed in 1st page. Now what?

it is better to be listed in 2nd or 3rd page rather then not being searches.....

    Hey Divya,

That's a mistake i made as well when i started. When you target longer tailed less competitive keywords you are aiming for a more specific and TARGETED audience.

You'll actually be surprised how many people actually DO type in "make money online for teenagers" (medium traffic keyword)

A quick Analysis (i used google's keyword tool and have bolded the terms which i directly type in google):

make money online for teenagers => 320 global (according to google's keyword tool)

    "make money online for teenagers"
=> 13,700 (use quotes to see the competing websites)

allintitle: ""make money online for teenagers" => 555 (with allintitle you can see how many others are using the phrase in their title i.e., make money online for teenagers)

    My tip.

Find a silo of keywords that revolve around teenagers and the money making online and guest blog about it or submit it to an article network.

With only 555 other people in google with that exact term i don't see why you should not be listed on page one.

top article directories: google "50 article directories" - The first link vretoolbar(dot)com lists the top gun article directories ordered by page rank.

Use google wonder wheel (under more search tools to the left of google.com) to find ideas for keywords.

    Hope that helped.
    Alex

long tail or high traffic, high competition

    Hi Divya,
I totally agree with s3onaut - whether you go for teenagers or another sub niche you are much better using a less competitive phrase with less traffic and getting to page 1 than having a term with high searches but too high competition.
Just do the maths, would you rather 5% of 100 visits (if you're on the bottom half of page 1 for example) or .001% of 30000 visits if you get to page 3 or 4 - hardly anyone gets past page 2 when they search. Plus if you are starting out, it's really hard to get anywhere in the big markets such as make money, health and dating markets.
I had another idea for you though - how about doing the same site idea but in your own language? I checked it out in French and there is much less competition but still enough searches to find a group of keywords that would make a site worthwhile. So if you check it out in your language it might give the same kind of result.
    cheers,
    Kerry
