Some solid tips to keep in mind for any audience really pertains to your video host, such as YouTube. You need to pay attention to their rules such as keyword density and such. Make sure you focus on having your targeted keywords in your dialogue because when Google's robots crawl your content it helps you rank higher in the search engines. Lastly, you need to be personable. Plain and simple, don't focus so much on how practiced your presentation is, but more connecting with your audience; letting them know you are a real person and you do stumble when you speak.

Video works in lots of ways. Watching the video is not critical to its success...
Google 'executive Coaching Mississauga' (a place across the continent from me) and you'll see a slideshow video made from a screen capture of a PowerPoint presentation. There is no VO, just music, images and text.
It also shows up for several other terms including 'business Coaching Mississauga' and 'leadership development mississauga'. In any case, it is the only result on the page with an image and the phone number. I deleted the first video after noticing a misspelling of the city name - and it still shows in the SERPs with the phone number. The video - if they get that far - show the main benefits of the lady's services and end with a call to action. If it wasn't for the testimonials, it would be well under a minute.
One side note: I first put up an 'unlisted' video on YT for the customer's approval. It was totally anonymous - no links, no description, no location, the woman's first name as a title, and it ranked for the text in the opening sequence. YouTube has learned how to read...
