After google changes the rules. How does this affect article marketing? Wonder if article marketing still works?

Article marketing still works but one thing that'll have a bigger impact is trying to get guest posts on reputable sites. With a few of my newer sites, I've seen huge gains in terms of traffic from a handful of guest posts vs the older method of sending articles to every known article directory. Think three, well-written articles vs hundreds of spammy articles.

Thanks Chris. I got to know that google does not encourage webmaster to use the article from article directories on their site and will penalize the webmaster if they do so. Is that true?

Probably 99.99% of the articles in the article directories are spam so I don't know why as a webmaster, you'd want to use them on your site. Even so, unless all your site is articles from article directories, google isn't going to penalize your site. If you've syndicated a couple of articles from the directories, it's more likely, that those pages just won't show up in the serps, meaning they'll be in the filtered results.

Noted your reply to my signature Chris. As rightly pointed out by you, my signature appears after over 20 posts. What's wrong with that? The forum allows our signature to appear after over 20 posts. Change the forum's rule if you are not happy with it. However, do not being judgmental about what I have posted. Your personal view/opinion does not determine the "quality" of question I asked. As I'm at liberty to ask the question where I'm seeking for an answer. I have asked a genuine question(s). That is what I would like to know or learn. If you are not happy with my question(s) you may choose to ignore it. If you think I'm spamming (which I'm doubt so) by all means ban me from this forum. Post the Panda update, I have become quite dismissive of article marketing. It makes little sense to write an article and submit the same to 100 different directories when you know Google will acknowledge the first as original and label the rest as duplicate.
And with Matt Cutts (anti-spam head at Google) clearly stating “I am not a huge fan of article marketing”, I think we all should understand Google’s respectful hint.

Article marketing is still effective and used after the changes to Google algorithm. Other than that I would like to share that article marketing is one of the best and most effective method to build quality backlinks and to get traffic to your site.
