web traffic genius versus rss link bomber

ONE question: Which is better? and Why? I just got web traffic genius installed and running at least that is what I've been told. I haven't noticed much difference on my blog but figured it might take some time possibly.

RSS Link Bomber seems to be a copy of wtg with the only differences being a few different feeds and proxy use built in... RSS Link Bomber is still under development so it is difficult to know which direction it will go in (in all likelihood the developer doesn't know either and is depending on the forums to guide its growth).

The true test of whether it is different/better will only come after using and comparing the two side by side for awhile with server load being one of the major considerations for superiority...

RSS Link Bomber is time consuming to setup. This would be fine if you only want to use it on one site. To me the sign of any good product is after you buy it. In this case, the customer service is fragmented, meaning detail on how to do something with a few word reply and not specific enough to act on. If you write back for better explanation, the retort is, ask for a refund! I have only had the product for about 3 weeks and set it up on 5 sites. They have 15 or so aggregators with no password. After setting the crons up on the server it begins to run, but only sending posts to 5 of the aggregators and reruns the same 5 even thou there are 15. There has been 13 updates in 3 weeks. I have not noticed traffic to increase.

Can someone tell me how long it would take setup Web Traffic Genius on one site. And if anyone notices a traffic increase in lets say 2 weeks?

WTG can take a while to set up because there are lots of aggregators that require an account. This can be a little time consuming.

And there are a few steps required after intalling the plugin too, but they are not onerous

If you choose to just go with the aggregators that don't require a password it can be done quite quickly.

Tim & Anthony also offer a service where you can pay for someone else to set up the aggregators.

Expecting massive increases in two weeks using only Web Traffic Genius is probably not realistic. It takes time for your feeds to get approved at the aggregators, and it takes time for Google to find those links. So it's not an "Instant traffic" tool. But it is very powerful with automatic backlinks to your site every time you post.

It's the first plugin I install on any new site!

I'll answer the question about set up time - it takes me 20 minutes to set one up, import the aggregators and change the categories. As Brett says, it takes a while to set up the first time, but most of that is actually registering for the high-power aggregators and that is a one-time deal.
I put a copy on a customer's site, and he reported a 50% increase in traffic within a week or two. This happened to be a long established site with pretty regular levels of traffic. I reposted the existing content and made some blog posts to get the ball rolling.
Remember - it only works when you do, so post optimized material on a regular basis...
