Why I probably won't be hanging out here

Hey dudes,

You guys actually taught me quite a bit when I was an uber-noob in marketing and I bought one of your courses. Got some of your later softwares as well.

However, to me it seems like you guys never went on to teaching more advanced stuff. Every email you send out seems to be newbie-oriented. Also I was on one of your webinars and that was the same drill - newbie stuff, nothing that's not common knowledge for anyone past the 6-months-online border.

I was curious to have a look at this new forum of yours, so I did. However, I see that you have gone ahead and monetized all 4 posts that are on here, with adsense already.

So IMO you are not giving, you are trying to take before there is any value added.

That is the reason I probably won't hang here.

Of course you can delete this post, if that's the route you plan to take. But if you care to prove me wrong, I'd be interested to see what you are actually gonna GIVE to balance for the taking you do.

But in all honesty. Look at you guys go, all ready putting on Adsense, why don't you fill the forum with meaningful posts first?

As bruusk mentioned, you guys are definitely gearing towards newbies, maybe you should teach them less and they'll stick around longer?

What part of free did you not get here though? This is a FREE resource we have put together for people to get their pressing Internet Marketing questions answered.

How is that not giving? I think you are missing the point of this entire forum, to foster a community and to get your pressing questions answered.

Yes we have adsense on the site, but I fail to see why that bothers you? Would you prefer a paid membership that only a smaller percentage of people could access.

We have always given a ton of free information and this FREE forum is another thing we are giving.

How exactly can we "give" on a forum when it's brand new with no questions to answer?

I do hope you stick around and contribute Bruusk.

So you would really want some meaningless posts here first? I fail to see how that could help anyone.

By setting up a free forum for people to freely ask their questions and get answers we think we are doing a good thing that will in time hopefully help out thousands of people.

By the way a lot of our focus is for people just starting out but we do have more advanced stuff as well. We are not restricting questions on this forum to "newbies" after all

Well ain't that special. I really think the folks who look at this as another gimmick are the ones who will loose out. I have a small site that helps individuals understand the ins and outs of a program and would in no way demean their integrity with remarks like those above.

Tim I like the idea of leaving the remarks of those above to show how some people think and are self centered. If they are so good now why not share it with others.

wow, that's some harsh criticism, for just starting out. I hope that won't bum you out too much guys. I for one am getting jaded like the original poster, I think I understand him, but like to think I give the benefit of the doubt first. Which what I am doing here. I have been at this a year now, and have little to show for it, but a depleted bank account. (but before, someone says quit buying the latest fad and start working - that's exactly what I am doing, but with all that so called "training" I don't feel very confident about it right now).

This is NOT free, and I am underlining this again. You are monetizing straight from the startup. What are you giving? The hosting and bandwith so people can post their gems on your MONETIZED forum. You build your name and your income from user generated content. Fine with me, just don't call it a free lunch.

I won't until I get your OK, because I respect your forum and I want to have an honest dialog. I think you won't mind me mentioning them though: WarriorForum is the big dog in marketing online. (I am not active there, although I have a paid account under the same name as I do here).

There are lots of free forums with tons of valuable marketing info that are less aggresively monetized than this one. Once again WarriorForum comes to mind (once again: I am not even a fan of them).

You will get tons of value yourself by highering your online presence and selling your own products and products that you promote as an affiliate, due to this forum. You will leverage the value that people bring to this forum to sell your own and other peoples products.

So don't you agree to some extend that it is insulting that you are monetizing the forum ON TOP OF THAT, right from the start, with adsense? I experienced it as such.

You could start by letting the forum run its course, and not putting adsense below the very first post that I make here. That's exactly how you can give without reaping right from the bat. Although I am glad I didn't contribute for 3 months before you implemented the adsense. It does show your intentions though.

Sure you can play dumb, and it would probably be the advisable route to take in your position.

I won't entertain you on that level, so you can just write me off as a lost customer, but I am sure you are satisfied with losing the advanced, and replacing them with 2x the noobs, which seems to be your business model.

Once again for a free marketing forum, there are a ton out there better.
