Backlinks via Bookmarking

I should be grateful for any experience people may be prepared to share how to develop multiple bookmarking accounts with good PR.

One is aware of course that if the bookmarking site thinks your bookmarks are too singlemindedly promotional they may ban the account, so one needs somehow to generate a good mix of links and I would be interested firstly in how people go about achieving this.

Secondly, it seems you want to have a variety of different accounts in case one gets burned and none of them, preferably, linked back too obviously to your main account or email. Obviously, setting up multiple accounts is not difficult but what then becomes more tircky is ensuring that all those accounts get a good mix of backlinks. It seems to me the only way to do this is via a submission system of some kind as doing it by hand is likely to be too time consuming and tedious. Any thoughts on this and particualrly on submission systems that might be worth investing the time and effort to get going. I have in the past used both Social Marker and Immediate Edge's Networker but the latter is down and I never found the former very user friendly.

I suppose what has prompted this thought is that i recently came across a website that was leapfrogging up the ranking using multiple backlinks from, specifically, Mr Wong - all of which were PR4, which surprised me. When i went and looked at the accounts, I got the impression of a series of accounts created by one person or a group, but each with about 350 bookmarks to multiple sites and this seemed to be where the PR was coming from. I suppose being too dependant on this kind of backlink for your rankings would not necesseraily be a good thing but being able to generate some PR4 backlinks in this way could be extremely valuable!

Most likely they had a page somewhere with page rank, and then linked that to specific bookmark sites (perhaps the account profile) which then allowed pagerank to flow through to the individual bookmarking accounts.

Here are a few strategies to achieve that.

You could also throw lots more bookmarks at the Mr. Wong bookmark pages... Also leverage the RSS Feeds on whichever bookmarking site you are attempting to boost the PR on. Don't forget to submit those to as many aggregators as you can!

I have looked at this 4-6 times...found some keyword(s)..a little age..thought to go for it...but could not process the checkout...otr find the domain again when trying to check out..

where am i missing it...

so - i am trying this again right now... and the stats are taking forever and not loading on MOST of the domains.... SO..i SEE A DOMAIN 4years with a keyword i am looking for..shows 7 pages no pagerrank....

ITS 12.00.... the age would be good but no pagerank or backlinks listed.... advise please... oh..it gives a specirfic model....where i would have multiple models....but i could pick them up in the fresh content going forth.. correct...

is it worth grabbing one of these just for the age? or only if backlinks?.

Not if there is no page rank, unless is a very good domain name and you could use it anyway. I am also struggling to get PR part to load.

an old post but in my experience social bookmarking is no where near as effective as backlinks these days. But with that said Content and the amount and quality of it on your website seems to be more important than ever so I suggest you focus on that.
