http:// and www

Hi,

I have two questions that I would like some help with

Question 1

I had a blog which url was : http:// (without www at the beginning) which was hacked, I got someone to install the blog again from a backup but now the url has a www at the beginning. My question is I created some backlinks on squidoo and eZine Articles and the anchor text url began with http://, can I go back into the articles and change the link on the anchor text to the new URL with WWW in the front. Would this effect my blogs ranking and would the new backlinks count for my new blog.

Question 2

The new blog that was installed has the wrong summary when I type the keyword in google, the summary has my keyword spelt wrong, i.e (this isn't the actual blog) : -

Where in wordpress can I change my summary, looked everywhere but can't find it

Look in the 3rd and 4th lines of your Settings | General page...

Thanks Mike, I have already checked the setting page, it doesn't show my summary, those lines just show web and url address. It doesn't allow me to change summary

If the squidoo pages and ezine articles are made by you then you can just log into your accounts on those sites and change the links can't you?
not sure how that'll effect your rankings but it'll certainly be better than having the links not work atall....although i'm not entirely sure that the addition or removeal of the www will break them.
have you tested the links in question?
