I was also not approved for Adsense with the comment: inappropriate content. I was upset, coz I have original G-rate content. I searched the Adsense forums and found the reason for non-approval are most likely because my site is not 6 months old yet!!! So, now I have to wait another 4 months before I can re-submit.

The reason Google will not advertise on your site is because it doesn't have anyone buying adwords. It can't pay you money it isn't taking in.
Not one of the other site in your category that I looked at had adwords and I'm sure that they are all getting more than 25 visitors a day. Try finding an affiliate that yo can promote on your site - there has to be some!
I think they have now change their approval system... I now have an approved account but they haven't even asked for the website details... They will collect it when you place the ads code on your site.
